The series "Monumental Art" was conceived in 2015 when scouting locations for a film project.

I was and still am amazed by the detail craftsmanship dedicated to creating monuments meant not only to mark the final resting place of someone but to establish a connection to that individuals' beliefs and life story.

The more I traveled and explored cemeteries around the world, the more I became entranced with this art form. Artists' who are not acknowledged or even known, but whose work lives on immortalized within the grounds of celebration of death.

The most recent series, "Feral Horses of the Virginia Range", is a close look at the feral and wild horses living within the Virginia Range area of Nevada. Located at the eastern foothills of the Sierra Mountains near the city of Reno, the range is a combination of public and private land. With the horses knowing few geographic boundaries, they often roam through residential and commercial areas creating potential dangerous situations for animal and man alike. The Virginia Wildlife Protection Association, established in 1979, works with the Bureau of Land Management to protect and care for these herds.

It is my hope, the images within these series share and celebrate the beauty and intrinsic uniqueness of both the art and animal.
